Son Lux is an American band renowned for its experimental style. Initially, it was the solo endeavor of founder Ryan Lott, whose first three albums, At War with Walls & Mazes, We Are Rising, and Lanterns, established the band's distinctive sound through a fusion of post-rock and electronica. In 2015, with the release of the fourth studio album, Bones, Son Lux evolved into a trio when Rafiq Bhatia and Ian Chang joined the ensemble. The band further extended its repertoire with EPs Stranger Forms and Remedy, culminating in the fifth album, Brighter Wounds, launched in February 2018. Notably, Son Lux composed the score for the 2022 sci-fi action film Everything Everywhere All at Once, earning a nomination for Best Original Score at the 95th Academy Awards.
