Tom Smith, the lead vocalist of the English rock band Editors, took the stage at the Rock the City festival in Bucharest, Romania on July 22, 2019. Established in Birmingham in 2002, the band, which also includes Russell Leetch, Ed Lay, Justin Lockey, Elliott Williams, and Benjamin John Power, has put out seven albums, with two achieving platinum status. Recognized for their dark indie rock style, reminiscent of bands such as Echo & the Bunnymen, Joy Division, Interpol, The Chameleons, and U2, Editors have gained critical acclaim, secured top positions in the UK Album Chart, earned a Mercury Prize nomination and a Brit Awards nomination, and consistently performed well in the UK Singles Chart.
