30 Seconds to Mars is an American rock band formed in 1998 in Los Angeles, California. The band was formed by actor Jared Leto and his brother Shannon, and it currently consists of Jared Leto (lead vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards), Shannon Leto (drums, percussion), and Tomo Miličević (guitar, keyboards, bass, violin). The band's music is a mix of alternative rock, post-grunge, and electronic rock, with a cinematic and anthemic style. Their lyrics often deal with themes of self-empowerment, human nature, and existentialism.
